KANSAS – According to the court documents, his name is James Brown and he made his first court appearance where he was also charged with cruelty to animals and aggravated domestic battery.
Wichita Police officers responded to a home in the 1500 of North New York.
When the officers arrived on scene, they contacted a 41-year-old woman with severe lacerations to her hand and back. She was taken to the hospital with for treatment.
An investigation revealed the woman and her boyfriend, got into a verbal disturbance. The suspect grabbed a five to six-foot sword during the disturbance, struck the woman multiple times, and stabbed her dog multiple times.
The woman and the dog are expected to make a full recovery.
