Pregnant mother, who thought she was suffering from a tummy bug, quickly realized that she wasn’t sick but was moments away from giving birth to her baby

The pregnant mom reportedly thought that she was suffering from a bacterial or viral tummy bug. She said she was planning on giving up her son for adoption and didn’t think she was going into labour. But, after the young mother went to the bathroom, she quickly realized that she wasn’t sick, but was moments away from giving birth. Even her doctors were surprised when she informed them about her son’s birth. The social media manager is now sharing her unique experience as her son’s birth certificate pays homage to the untraditional way he came into this world.

The mother from Louisiana, Victoya Venise, was on a business trip to Georgia when she received the shock of her life. The pregnant woman welcomed her second child, Rocky Andrew, on Friday after going into labor at her hotel.

Her son’s arrival was a total surprise as doctors predicted her due date to be May 15, according to WXIA-TV. Naturally, she was not expecting him to arrive any time sooner.

When the contractions began, Venise initially thought that she had the same stomach bug as her 4-year-old daughter. But while using the washroom at the hotel, she learned that it was something else entirely. “I had just came back from urgent care with my daughter. And she had a stomach bug. By the time I realized it was a baby and not poop, it was just too late,” she shared.

“I turned around, and it was the baby,” recalled the mother during an interview with WAGA-TV.  Even her doctors were surprised when she informed them about her son’s birth. “They actually thought my due date was May 15 because I was so small. So that was kind of the conflict with them. They thought I was not as far as long,” she explained.

Thankfully both mother and child, who arrived at 37 weeks are doing well at the moment. “I’m so in love with him. It’s been a crazy experience,” she admitted. That being said, the graphic designer and social media manager is treasuring this unique experience as her son’s birth certificate pays homage to the untraditional way he came into this world.

“I’m listed as the doctor,” she noted, adding that “his place of birth will say Extended Stay America,” which is the hotel she was staying in when she gave birth. The single mother revealed that she had been considering placing Rocky up for adoption but this changes soon after his birth. “I feel so connected to him even more.

No, you’re mine, I’m going to take care of you. If I could literally bring you into the world by myself, I think I could take care of you,” said the resolute mom.

Right now Venise is staying at her hotel as she continues her search for a rented place in Georgia. “They are letting me out of my apartment lease in Louisiana so that’s a plus. I’m not in any condition to go there alone with a newborn who’s only 4 lbs,” she shared.

Thanks to her work-from-home situation, Venise is able to plan her next steps easily. “I’m just happy I work with clients who were understanding and let me take a few days to myself,” she expressed.
