Manhattan, KANSAS – According to the Riley County Police Department, the shooting occurred right before 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
It happened on Kimball Ave.
Riley County Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found two victims – 23-year-old man and 21-year-old woman.
Police said the male victim suffered a single gunshot wound and the woman suffered a graze wound.
Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators believe both victims were shot following a domestic altercation within an apartment.
According to the Riley County Police Department, 37-year-old suspect has been arrested and taken into custody.
His name is Ryan Powell and he faces multiple charges, including: two counts each of aggravated battery and aggravated assault, and three counts of aggravated endangering of a child.
