Riley County, KANSAS – According to the Manhattan Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 10 p.m. Saturday night.
It happened on Garden Way.
Manhattan Fire Department crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire.
The responding crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.
They were able to extinguish the blaze in less than 1 hour.
According to MFD, residents from two apartments were displaced.
No one was injured in this incident, officials said.
Manhattan Fire Department officials said the fire caused around $1,000 in damage.
The cause of the fire remains investigation.
