WPD investigating after 35-year-old man shot in possible road rage incident near Central and Ridge

Wichita, KANSAS – According to the Wichita Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

It happened near Central and Ridge.

Wichita Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim.

Police said the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators discovered that the victim reportedly got into a verbal altercation with another driver.

The two vehicles stopped on Central, and the 35-year-old victim reportedly exited his vehicle and approached the other driver’s window.

The other driver then shot the 35-year-old victim.

The second  39-year-old driver reportedly remained on scene.

No arrests have been made yet.

This incident remains under investigation.
