One person injured in accident involving Geary County school bus, tractor

Geary County, KANSAS – According to the Geary County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred on Saturday.

It happened on Davis Creek.

Geary County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.

The responding deputies discovered that the school bus was heading southbound when a John Deere 6400 entered the roadway.

The school bus then struck the front bucket of the tractor.

The driver of the bus suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

He was later identified as Justin Sayson.

The driver of the tractor, Gus Gustafson, was not injured.

The student passengers were evaluated by EMS on scene and released with no injuries.

This incident remains under investigation.
