KANSAS – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
It happened near the intersection of Pawnee and Broadway in Wichita.
Honda was driving westbound turning south on Broadway. An eastbound pickup ran a red light and collided with the car.
Police say both people in the Honda were trapped and had to be rescued by firefighters.
Both people suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital.
The pickup driver tried ran from the scene, but was quickly arrested.
