A Salina man was arrested after a police chase involving a car reported stolen from Lawrence

KANSAS – According to the police report, the officers saw a 1996 Buick Regal going south in the 1800 block of N. Ninth Street around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. The officers ran the temporary tag on the Buick and found out the vehicle was reported stolen from Lawrence.

They tried to stop the car at Ninth Street and Stimmel Road but the Buick accelerated and then went east on Stimmel before turning south on Fifth Street, reaching speeds of around 70 mph.

His names is Anthony Richardson, 50-year-old, of Salina. He had a suspended license and an active Kansas Department of Corrections absconder warrant. The owner of the Buick was contacted and told police they did not know Richardson.

Anthony Richardson was arrested in connection to felony flee and elude, possession of stolen property, felony interference with law enforcement, reckless driving, driving while suspended and other traffic violations.
