76-year-old man sustains life-threatening injuries after collision with semi on I-35

Sumner County, KANSAS – Kansas Highway Patrol officials said the accident occurred right before 2 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened on I-35.

The responding troopers discovered that vehicle and semi-truck crashed at the location.

The 76-year-old driver of the Mazda pickup reportedly lost control of his vehicle and hit a semi-truck.

Both vehicles then left the roadway.

The 76-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

This incident remains under investigation.
