Osage County, KANSAS – According to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred right before 9 a.m. Thursday morning.
It happened on I-35 near milepost 164.
Osage County Sheriff’s deputies, Osage County Fire District #3 – Melvern, and Osage County EMS responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies discovered that the 64-year-old driver of Dodge Caravan left the roadway for an unknown reason.
The vehicle came to rest after rolling in a tree line.
The 64-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where she later died.
She was later identified as Velma Kissinger.
This incident remains under investigation.
