Topeka, KANSAS – According to the Topeka Police Department, her name is Jessica Dawn Riley-Perkins and she was arrested on Thursday.
Police officials said the 27-year-old suspect was booked into Shawnee County Jail in connection with motor vehicle theft.
This incident occurred right before 9 a.m. Thursday.
It happened at 1034 S. Kansas Ave.
The victim called 911 and told the dispatcher that a woman stole her purse that had her car keys in it.
The unidentified victim reported that her car also was stolen.
The victim reportedly located the vehicle, detained the woman and called police.
The responding officers arrested Riley-Perkins.
