27-year-old suspect arrested, charged with aggravated robbery

Topeka, KANSAS – According to the Topeka Police Department, this incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. on Jan. 2.

It happened at 1900 NW Topeka Blvd.

The responding officers discovered that a black male had come in to the store demanding money.

After the suspect took undisclosed amount of money, they fled the scene.

The 27-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody on Sunday.

His name is Derrick Baker and he is now charged with aggravated robbery and is being held on $100,000 bond.

This incident remains under investigation.
