Marion County, ANSAS – According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, this incident occurred right before 7 a.m. Sunday morning.
It happened on K-15 highway.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that the 24-year-old pedestrian was reportedly struck by southbound Honda Accord.
The 24-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
She was later identified as Yueyang Jiang.
Troopers said that Jiang was reportedly hit while standing near a stopped vehicle.
The 47-year-old driver of the Honda was not injured.
She was later identified as Jennifer Kirkpatrick.
This incident remains under investigation.
