Wichita, KANSAS – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred around 4:51 a.m. Saturday.
It happened in the 1000 block of S. Woodlawn.
Wichita Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one 16-year-old victim.
Police said the victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators believe the victim and the suspect reportedly knew each other and there is no threat to the public.
